- "Coronation" Jug
Relief Moulded Jug Commemorating the Coronation of George IV, c. 1820. See page 26, Plate 9, Kathy Hughes: A COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO NINETEENTH CENTURY JUGS for similar example. This jug is made of a lightweight earthenware. The white lead-glazed body is covered with the three feathers of the Prince of Wales symbols, moulded in shallow relief. The jug is highlighted with a band of blue enamel to the handle, rim, foot rim, and a wide band above the body. The lip has a crown centered between 3 feathers. The maker is unknown.
