Dutch Delft Gourd Shaped Vase or "Knobbelvas" or knobbly vase , a Dutch term for the shape of exotic vases resembling 17th C. Persian Flasks. They have a high hexagonal base that flares out at the bottom. The neck is long and hexagonal with a bulbous widening toward the top, ending in a trumpet shape. Circa 1850. Minor restorations.
